itunes in uk a rip-off?

OK here's the thing. On UK itunes you can see the UK shop. On US itunes you can see the US shop. So I am in Verve Vault and I click on an OOP title then click through to itunes. Not available at UK itunes, it tells me, but give me option to switch through to US shop. Now I can't *use* the US shop, but I can click around and have a look. And here is what I find. OOP titles that cost about $6 in US cost $16 (£8) in UK. In part that is down to the exchange rate. But on any reckoning stuff her costs double. I'm not impressed. (Not to mention itunes is so s-l-o-w and hard to navigate).

No replies! Which makes me think no-one bothers with itunes and neither should I!

Yet another example of 'rip off Britain'. I've never even looked at this site - not that I'm into i-pod downloads in any way though. It's hard enough just keeping up with CDs, dime and vinyl.

For european iTunes stores, VAT is added, and the price is also influenced by the share that the local collecting society receives.

Plus they ARE ripping us off. looked into it....and away again very fast.

Not impressed- even with different rates aside...never found it helpful at all
