Soul Stream Posted May 20, 2007 Report Posted May 20, 2007 I was looking through an old Downbeat and found Kenny Dorham's review of Baby Face Willette's "Behind The 8 Ball" LP. No Stars from K.D. To quote Kenny "There is nothing of sufficient musical content here to deserve a rating." I'd love to see Baby Face pull a switchblade on K.D. somewhere on the Southside of Chicago for that review. I think it was Bill Fenohr who first posted that review. It sounds like KD and LD both looked down their noses at the "less musically advanced" genres. Quote
