just got back from looking at an evidently endangered "sei" whale that washed ashore in our town. twas this so called sei whale as it had a large dorsal hook fin. got caught up in some serious accident and beached during our weekend monsoon.

thing was about 45 feet and stinky as a minky - i went at lowest tide.

supposedly these babies are the fastest of the whales and spend most of their lives in deep waters.

pretty amazing tho to walk around a giant beast like this.
