Guest donald petersen
i mentioned this album before i think, but it is worth mentioning more formally- if you enjoy return to forever mk. 1 (with farrell, airto, clarke, flora) then you will like eddie daniels "brief encounter" album perhaps. it can be had for a song on amazon on CD (i got a copy to replace my LP and it cost me 3.50 new). it is on muse and from 1977 and has daniels on tenor and clarinet and andy laverne on piano, epiano, moog and string synth and rick laird on bass and billy mintz on drums. all these musicians and the year send up red warning flags all over the place. at least for me. but this is a very nice pleasant session of lightly brazilian and fusion flavored jazz. much like a bad vocal-less version of rtf mk 1. good summer music, certainly.
