Brownian Motion Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 In 1955 or 1956 clarinetist Herb Hall was in Europe as a member of Sammy Price's Bluesicians. While there he recorded at least twice, once in concert with the Bluesicians, and again with the Bluesicians and Sidney Bechet. I have the Bechet date on CD. Did the concert date ever made it to CD? And did Hall make any other recordings while in Europe? Thanks for your help. Quote
brownie Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 (edited) Herb Hall appears on several tracks of this recently reissued CD by Sammy Price from the Jazz in Paris series Good Paree Edited June 7, 2007 by brownie Quote
Harold_Z Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 If I recall correctly - there were TWO Jazztone lps by the Sammy Price Bluesicians. Quote
Harold_Z Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Ok. When I got home I checked. The two Jazztone lps (same band) Sammy Price In Concert The Price Is Right I don't know of a cd reissue of either. Quote
marcello Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 In the spirit if the thread, here's one of my photos of Jimmy McPartland, Herb Hall and Vic Dickenson from about 1975, in Buffalo. Quote
