chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted June 30, 2007 Report Posted June 30, 2007 the drummer doubled on F. horn, playing it simotaneosly (sic) w/ the hi-hat, the bass was the other member of the trio. they played originals, as well as A Call for all demons by sun ra, 2 ornette tunes incl. lonely woman, a tune by someone named henry thredgill or something, and the best was a piece which was variations on the lines of cheryl, then into au privave-- on that one bill smith dismantled his clairnet and put one mouthpiece on the bottom 1/2, and then played the top half and the bottom half at the same time, george braith-style--- it was so good Quote

The last time I heard the trio play in Seattle it was more than good - it was great. Quote
