can anybody help me locate the 3-cd norman granz release from 2000 of Dizzy Gillespie's 1956 state department tour to latin america? it was recorded by dave usher. i don't know the name it was released under.

This is fine music. I seem to remember that Vol 3 is not by the DG big band - local musicians perhaps - but I'm open to correction.

Volume 3 is partly the big band and partly Dizzy playing with local musicians. The big band version of Night in Tunisia on vol. 3 has some of the most incredible Dizzy on record.

Vol. 3 is a 2-CD set, with all of disc 2 and maybe part of disc 1 taken up with interviews. Not essential, but worth listening to once or twice.
