Not many people have devoted over 70 years to doing something they believed in and enjoyed doing. I'm sure she affected the lives of many, many people during that time. I'm sure she affected the lives of many, many people during that time. what the article didnt say was that her brilliant son, jeff, a class valedictorian with a full scholarship to what was then case tech in cleveland, was killed in viet nam. a day or two after sibelius passed away, i remember she played finlandia as a prelude to worship, without saying a word, and i doubt if anyone noticed.
