MoGrubb Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 "Osbourne claims his reputation was tarnished" I wonder if Osbourne's bitching will take it to court, deem the sting illegal because the sheriff didn't have Osbourn's permission to use his name, on some "constitutional" grounds and all the dumbasses are set free? Personally I think the sheriff had a good idea, too bad Osbourne couldn't go along with it. Seems like he could have, privately, asked for an apology from the sheriff, and let it go at that. Even that would've been kinda prickish, but a suitable compromise. Quote
7/4 Posted November 4, 2007 Report Posted November 4, 2007 Between the Police and his solo albums, he had a lot of hits. Damm right Ozzy should be pissed. That money should be his. Quote

Anyhow, anybody that acts like he does on stage shouldn't bitch about a cop using his name in a benign way, except for the bad guys. I mean hell, it was for a public service for crying out loud. Nobody used it to make money. This makes Ozzie look like he's for the bad guys, and an asshole to boot. Quote

Mo Grubb, you did not get the 7/4 joke, the title is Ozzie is angered by sting, and 7/4 made the reference to Sting the singer of the group The Police Quote

BruceH Posted November 6, 2007 Report Posted November 6, 2007 When I first saw the thread title, I thought he was angered by "Sting"---the pop singer. Apparently I'm not alone. But really, who of us HASN'T been angered by Sting, at one time or another. Quote
