brownie Posted November 9, 2007 Report Posted November 9, 2007 (edited) There will be a 'Free Jazz et Cinéma' festival at the Maurice Ravel Auditorium in suburban Montreuil (accessible via the Paris subway) at the end of the month. Several very rarely seen films (including Luc Ferrari's film 'Ambitus' on the Cecil Taylor Unit with Jimmy Lyons, Alan Silva and Andrew Cyrille) will be shown there. Free Jazz et Cinéma full program. Musicians taking part in the event's concerts include François Tusques, Alan Silva, Bobby Few and others. Edited November 9, 2007 by brownie Quote
Adam Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 This is excellent! I'm putting together a free jazz film series for 2008 for Los Angeles Filmforum. There are quite a few European films in there that I've never heard of, and will be good to pursue. Too bad the downloadable schedule doesn't have the distributors, but I can write the programmers.
