Thurston Moore - TREES OUTSIDE THE ACADEMY

What an album! Album of the year, AFAIC. Very wistful and pastoral; it's like a Sonic Youth album without the amplifiers and distortion. Plus, Moore has a very melodic voice, IMHO. If you're a Sonic Youth fan, this is a nice addition to the canon.

(Note to clem: yes, I know you think that there is better examples of this stuff out there, that Thurston ain't nearly the writer he allegedly used to be, etc etc etc. Big deal. I like this, it's music to my ears, and that's good enough for me.)
