Alexander Hawkins
Thank you! I think AkLaff is an awesome, awesome drummer. I sincerely hope the trio with Pheeroan, Cecil Taylor and Henry Grimes records. p.s. are there playlists for this show anywhere? There's a wonderful guitarist on at the moment whom I can't place, and would love to know who it is!
Alexander Hawkins
Ah - to answer my own question - Michael Gregory Jackson. Great! What a band - AkLaff, Oliver Lake, Fred Hopkins, Jackson...'don't make 'em like that' etc.

Nate Dorward
Didn't catch the show, but anyway, nice to hear he's been featured. A great drummer...! -- My favourite work of his may still be that sequence of discs with Yosuke Yamashita..... -- Has he recorded much as a leader? The only disc of his I have is that one with Sonny Sharrock & John Stubblefield.
Guest Bill Barton
Yes, a great player! I'll be tipping my beret to him for a little one-day-late birthday salute on Bright Moments this early a.m. Give the drummers some... Also a focus on Bob Moses.
