paul secor Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 Nearest Baskin Robbins is 13 miles away - not worth the gas. Hope it doesn't take as long to be served as it does for their web site to come up. Quote
Free For All Posted April 30, 2008 Report Posted April 30, 2008 Actually, it's 31 cents a scoop! I used to go there a lot when I was a kid. Strawberry Cheesecake and Peanut Butter & Chocolate were my favorites. Quote

Big Al Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 We went to two different B-R's tonight without getting any ice cream. Both had lines, but they weren't very long. Problem was those lines were moving unbelievably SLOW! One poor guy had been waiting an hour and he wasn't even inside yet! We figured that there were people asking for multiple samples, descriptions of each flavor, asking for substitutions, etc etc etc. It just seemed like management didn't have this too well-planned. What they should've done was put up a sign: NO SAMPLES. You're paying THIRTY-ONE CENTS for an ice cream cone, fercryinoutloud! Get three cones for less than a dollar! Anything to keep the line moving! Quote
Big Wheel Posted May 1, 2008 Report Posted May 1, 2008 Yeah, this is kind of a weird attempt to compete with Free Cone Day yesterday at Ben and Jerry's. I guess the point is for branding purposes (to make sure people don't forget that Baskin-Robbins exists also)? Or maybe that if you want like 5 scoops you'll be happier with this than with Free Cone Day Anyway, I happened to pass by the Mountain View B-R's tonight and the line was around the block. Good thing the plan was to go to one of those newfangled frozen plain yogurt places instead. $5.00 for a medium with raspberries and mochi, but not half bad and way healthier. Quote
