JohnS Posted September 19, 2008 Report Posted September 19, 2008 I've just been playing Freddie Hubbard's Hot Horn on Everest. It's a 1974 date with Junior Cook. Apparently more from this date came out on Phoenix. This seems to be Hayes' only recording. Do we know anything about Hayes or is it a mistake in the notes (could be, Cedar Watton is the pianist) or am I'm listening to a different Billy or Hayes. Quote

Pianist is Cedar Walton. The mispellings reflect the sloppiness and ignorance of the people who prepared this release. Quote
