Bol Posted October 20, 2008 Report Share Posted October 20, 2008 This band is a sextet consisting of mostly Chicago avant garde musicians and led by the Dutch alto sax player Jorrit Dijkstra. I just saw them at the Edgefest in Ann Arbor, Michigan. They were just amazingly good, so much more interesting and lively than other bands I saw at the Fest, and it was too bad that they played so late so that many people seemed to leave before they took the stage. I had seen the band in Bloomington, Indiana a couple of years ago, and I thought that they played much better this time. Not that they were less than thrilling a couple of years ago.
