RDK Posted December 17, 2008 Report Posted December 17, 2008 I don't remember much about this one one way or the other, but I do have the Brubeck/Desmond duets CD (has some slightly different title). While there is some fine music on there, it makes me soooo sleepy. I also used it successfully to put my son to sleep when he was cranky at age 3. I always fell asleep while listening to Brotzmann's Nipples. I'd set it up to repeat on the CD player and my ex would come home to find it blaring out with me passed out on the couch. I once fell asleep dreaming of Brotzmann's nipples... but that's another story. Quote

I used to get my daughter off to sleep bouncing her on my knee to Bo Diddley. To each her own. Oh, and I've a Euro version which is fine. I think the Euro versions must have better music on them, too MG Quote
papsrus Posted December 18, 2008 Author Report Posted December 18, 2008 I think the Euro versions must have better music on them, too MG I enjoyed it, and will for quite some time (I hope). Quote
papsrus Posted June 15, 2009 Author Report Posted June 15, 2009 Just to follow up, Disc 2 plays fine, and there's an alternate take of "Gee Baby" on it, so I'm not going to fuss over it. But the one I received is a Connoisseur, fwiw. I may have misunderstood the first reference to that. Anyways, thanks for the feedback. Try playing it in your computer, if it plays fine then just rip and re-burn that disc and keep it in the same case, problem solved. Shawn, I finally got around to following your suggestion and it worked. Played and copied fine, so now I have a lossless copy of the disc that plays flawlessly. Thanks! Quote
