sheldonm Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 I need to ship some jazz photographs to a few people on this board that live in Europe. What is the most economical way to ship them and get them there in a reasonable amount of time and in one peice. The post office says if it's under four pounds, it about $23.00 which is crazy. Is there a better way??? Thanks, Mark Quote
Guest Chaney Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 Mark, Where in Europe? Have a visit to the post office site and your question should be answered. International Calculator Quote
wolff Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 USPS air parcel. I send LP's, etc. all over world. Should be $10-12 at most. Should take a week. Pack them in stiff cardboard. An LP mailer would work well. Quote
sheldonm Posted November 6, 2003 Author Report Posted November 6, 2003 Thanks to all that responded!!! The calculator is good to have, I appreciate it. Claude, Yes I have a scanner but these are original jazz photographs and the quality of a scanned image is no where near the original but again, thanks for the idea. I will go with Wolff's plan! Brad Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 Mark, If they're valuable photos, you might also want to think about insurance or sending it by UPS or some service that offers insurance. Quote
