We're re-airing Satchmo, Take Two: Louis Armstrong At the Movies this week on Night Lights--already posted for online listening at the preceding link, featuring music from some of Satchmo's numerous movies and short features.

Also up for online listening on Afterglow, the jazz/ballads/American popular song show that I host: Born On the 4th of July: a Popular-Song Celebration of Independence Day, featuring music from Nat King Cole ("We Are Americans, Too"), Paul Robeson ("Ballad for Americans"), Peggy Lee/Johnny Mercer ("Freedom Train"), Duke Ellington ("Rhapsody in Blue") and much more, including three tracks from the recently-reissued BING AND SATCHMO.
