Cannonball/Paul Chambers

Can anyone agree with me that on the reissued Vee Jay: Chambers "1st Bassman" is it Cannonbal alone with the rhytm section that plays on track 6 "Who's Blues" (credited to Julian Adderley) that plays here, was not the original LP, but not listed in Cannonball's discography.

Isn't it Yusef Lateef on that record?

it is Lateef on the first 6 tracks, but not on track 7, it's an altosax that sounds about 99% to be Cannonball.

Hi friends

I have sorted it out now, On Chambers "Go" is it named Shades Of Blue, and on "1st Bassman" is it named Who's Blues,

but not mentioned in the notes that it's from a different date, but it's the same tune on both CD's. So it's nothing undiscovered,

they are from the Chambers Quartet date from february 1959.
