while I was hanging in Tower, deciding whether I should spend 18.99 on a frigging cd, I was entertained by an engaging new release by Dave Brubeck which is audiophile quality. Part of the show Dave sounds like Freddie Redd, which of course got my attention. The sound was super, even coming over the store's lousy sound system.

Of course when they tried to get outside, they sounded a little silly, but for the most part it was a very enjoyable listen. I am becoming more convinced live jazz recordings are where it is at!

Very recommended if you like a relaxing listen that puts you there! (I wish I was!)

Funny, I just referenced this very disc in another thread regarding the upcoming Brubeck Time etc box. I really enjoy this disc too, for what it is: a very enjoyable, melodic performance. Great sound, especially as it was recorded in a Starbucks!!!
