blue lake
I need a little help with this Charlie Parker tune: do you know what, if any, standard it is based on? Is it a blues, or completely original??? And for what it's worth, how does Charlie's Wig or Bird Feathers releated to Jimmy Heath's 'C.T.A.' if at all. Asking for a friend, thanks. Spontooneous
Bird Feathers is a blues. Charlie's Wig is based on When I Grow Too Old to Dream. Relation to CTA: All written by Americans at mid-20th century. Looking for further relations might be a stretch.

randissimo
Thanks Spontoon -- was wondering if that was a blues. Thanks for the help. Hey Lazaro, I've got 2 new tunes I'm sending out to my dad, who will be doing a live recording session at the Light House in Hermosa Beach, Ca. in February.. One is a cool minor blues in G I'm calling "Razzle Bazzle", The other is blues in F entitled, "Runnin' At The Mouth".. I had Paul Keller help me arrange them..
