Brownian Motion Posted January 30, 2010 Report Posted January 30, 2010 Jane Jarvis, who brought a jazz sensibility to unlikely places as an organist for the New York Mets and a programmer for Muzak, died on Monday at the Lillian Booth Actors’ Home in Englewood, N.J. She was 94. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/31/arts/31jarvis.html?ref=obituaries Quote
AmirBagachelles Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 As a Zinno neighbor in the early 90s, I became enamored of Jane Jarvis' jazz stylings. As a baseball (Mets) fan who longs to this day for ambience between innings, Ms. Jarvis' taste, dignity, and wit set the bar high. Quote
Brad Posted February 1, 2010 Report Posted February 1, 2010 As a Zinno neighbor in the early 90s, I became enamored of Jane Jarvis' jazz stylings. As a baseball (Mets) fan who longs to this day for ambience between innings, Ms. Jarvis' taste, dignity, and wit set the bar high. Couldn't agree more. Used to love to listen to her at Shea, before they started with the rock music between innings. Passing of an era. Quote
