JamesAHarrod Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 Here are the details for the next Los Angeles Jazz Institute presentation over the Memorial Day Weekend. Regular attendees should note that the festival will now be headquartered at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott, NOT the Four Points Sheraton. The new (temporary) phone number for tickets and information is: (562) 200-5477. The new brochure is at the printer and will be in the mail by the end of the month. I am forwarding this information to the Kenton list, the JWC list and the Organissimo Jazz Forum. Apologies to those of you belonging to all of the above for duplication. jazzkrow Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 I've gone to several of these LAJI weekends. They are great and a nice way to meet the musicians who are very approachable. Plus you can also get away during the slow times and hit the Amoeba on Sunset Blvd and maybe out to Charlie O's to catch a late set. Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted March 18, 2010 Report Posted March 18, 2010 Wish my dad was alive so I could tell him the big bands are coming back. Quote
Michael Weiss Posted March 19, 2010 Report Posted March 19, 2010 I don't see ONE black musician slated to perform. What's up with that? Quote
