paul secor
Guitarist Larry Dale (Ennis Lowery) passed on May 19th in New York City. He was one of the musicians who were a part of the NYC blues scene in the 1950's and 60's. He played some dynamite guitar on Champion Jack Dupree's Blues from the Gutter album, and his Glover 45 -"Let the Doorbell Ring" is a classic blues/r&b record. RIP, Mr. Dale - and thanks for the music you gave us. Edited May 21, 2010 by paul secor

zootsi
I remember hearing him live on the radio every Saturday night from some club in Newark in the early '60's.I was a teenager then, just getting into blues guitar. Wow, I wish I recorded some of that stuff!
