BERIGAN Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...1&category=2303 Just saw this doing a search on Ina Ray Hutton on ebay, and it sure looks interesting, but wonder what the quality is??? Anyone??? Quote
Swinging Swede Posted December 11, 2003 Report Posted December 11, 2003 You can buy it a lot cheaper from the source: Swing Era DVDs While I don’t have this particular title, I have several of the other DVDs in the Swing Era series. They have soundies and film appearances from the 20s to the 50s, and while the technical quality has its limitations and is variable, it is nonetheless a thrill to be able to see footage of many legendary jazz artists from those years. Snippets of these performances have been seen on various documentaries through the years, and have then frustratingly been interrupted by talking heads, but these DVDs have the complete performances – and lots of them! I think they really are quite amazing to watch. Quote
