simlon69 Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 Hi everyone, newbie to the forum here. Does anyone know if Marcel Romano is still alive? And if not is he still active on the music scene? I believe he may own the recording rights to the film Les Liasons Dangereuses but I can't find a trail that leads me anywhere helpful. I'm looking to license it for a project but can't seem to get the right information. Publishing I'm cool with but the master recording is proving real tricky to unravel. Any help greatly appreciated. brownie Posted July 19, 2010 Report Posted July 19, 2010 Marcel Romano died in August 2007. He did not own the rights to the music of 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses 1960'. The soundtrack to the film music appeared on Fontana. Don't know who actually owns the rights to the music these days. The music that Romano recorded for that soundtrack with Thelonious Monk and Barney Wilen was never released on records. Romano had a copy of the Monk/Wilen session. Romano was a good friend and is very much missed. Quote
