AllenLowe Posted August 23, 2010 Report Posted August 23, 2010 (edited) I just used this board to record a bunch of cuts on my next CD - liked it so much that I went out and purchased a Mackie 800R, which has 8 of these mic preamps, which Mackie calls "Onyx" and which, I can say from experience, rival much higher-priced preamps. The 1220 has 4 of these Onyx's, plus 4 other line-level inputs. Plenty of routing, excellent sound, but I don't need it because of the 800R. Also has what Mackie calls a "Perkins EQ" but I don't know much about it except they think it's hot stuff, and it does sound good. if you are looking to get a "pro" sound, nothing rivals this in its price range (look online for pics; I believe it can also be fitted with a firewire card) - it can also be used for live sound applications. $200 plus shipping conus. my paypal is alowe5@maine.rr.com Edited August 23, 2010 by AllenLowe Quote
