Last week's Afterglow program featured Billie Holiday exclusively in big-band settings, including airchecks with Count Basie, a big-band performance of "The Blues Are Brewin'" with Louis Armstrong from the film New Orleans, her Decca recordings with large ensembles, and a concert performance of "I Cover the Waterfront" with Duke Ellington's orchestra.
