Dave James Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 For awhile in the '50's, she was as big (no pun intended) as anyone in Hollywood. Not too many women can claim that they had a bra designed specifically for them by Howard Hughes. Jane Russell could. Loved her in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Paleface and Son of Paleface. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/01/movies/01russell.html?hp Quote
brownie Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 She was a very good match to Marilyn Monroe in 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' and to Clark Gable in 'The Tall Men' and 'The King and Four Queens', both directed by Raoul Walsh. Walsh also directed her in 'The Revolt of Mamie Stover'. She was quite convincing in those films. Quote
BERIGAN Posted March 1, 2011 Report Posted March 1, 2011 She was a lot of fun in Paleface and Son of Paleface.... R.I.P. Quote
