Jane Russell Passes

For awhile in the '50's, she was as big (no pun intended) as anyone in Hollywood. Not too many women can claim that they had a bra designed specifically for them by Howard Hughes. Jane Russell could. Loved her in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Paleface and Son of Paleface.

She was a very good match to Marilyn Monroe in 'Gentlemen Prefer Blondes' and to Clark Gable in 'The Tall Men' and 'The King and Four Queens', both directed by Raoul Walsh. Walsh also directed her in 'The Revolt of Mamie Stover'.

She was quite convincing in those films.
