Got it on my way home tonight. I was drawn to it by Lester Bowie and Cecil McBee, and there is not enough great Arthur Blythe on easily available CD, and so this is a treat. Great recording too. I see it can be had on amazon and half.com, you better hurry. It's fantastic.

I second this endorsement - I've always loved this album. My favorite track is "Midnite Train," an improvised piece. It's a little tentative at first, while the guys are finding their way into it, but it's incredibly exciting and cooking by the end.

The first cut on "Mudfoot" is really exciting--Arthur Blythe's "Miss Nancy."

I was fortunate to see The Leaders live in a small club. I sat right in front of Lester Bowie. Great performance by all.

The Plaza III? On a Sunday afternoon, I think? Good times.
