Daniel A
Audiophile International seems to have a pretty good selection of vinyl. http://www.audiophileusa.com/ Does anyone have experience from dealing with them? Are they reliable, and does the gradings of the LPs generally seem fair? Edited January 16, 2004 by Daniel A
Z-Man
I really wish you hadn't brought this site to my attention, Daniel. Unless someone advises otherwise, I'll be spending some serious money here.
wolff
Their prices(the ones I looked at) are crazy. You could do much better on Ebay. Ry Cooder/ Jazz(Mobile Fidelity) $500....I'll sell you mine for $250 Jones, Rickie Lee - Rickie Lee Jones Mobile Fidelity $300...I'll sell you mine for $
Claude
No problem, as prices are in US dollars
AmirBagachelles
I have dealt with them, yes some grossly mispriced things, that can be due to many factors, and we should not be offended. The labels are not making this stuff anymore, and we can always call and offer less. I have found great things there for $8-15. Condition of vinyl is never an issue, but call them on the phone for everything anyway, they will pull the record and go over every zit they see, they are honest people. For value, you might want to stick to $25 and below items, say Japan and European imports and 70s/80s vintage. Anything MFSL seems to get a knee-jerk $50, $100, or $200 price, unfortunately. Daniel A
Thanks guys! As Claude said, buying from the US can sometimes make a better deal than the record store around the block, considering the dollar rate... Anyway, a sealed copy at a decent price wouldn't be a problem, I suppose.
