I recall that Tate was one of your favorites, Z. He certainly made a number of timeless recordings.

A unique voice. A friend of mine used to have Howard Tate's "Ain't Nobody Home" playing on his answering machine. It may still be there - I always email him or call his cell phone these days. Sign of the times.
