If you haven't listened to WKCR yet, go to the website: www.wkcr.org. I've been listening for many years, and I've learned so much about music. Besides the current broadcast, it has stuff like playlists, archives, and soundscape.

Like him, hate him, or feel somewhere between those two, WKCR wouldn't exist in it's present form were it not for Phil Schaap - it would have died out long ago. And the NYC jazz scene would be a lot poorer if it didn't exist.

i wasn't aware of the playlists. thx.

i have many of their shows which they haven't recorded, archived.
