While doing some research today, I came across this as in the Nov. 18, 1985 New Yorker.

I wonder how many of these players remained faithful to Baldwin...

I remember that Victor Borge always used to say, "The Steinway Piano Company has asked me to say that this is a Baldwin."

All joking aside, Baldwin makes some excellent instruments. I've played plenty of Steinways with action I hated, whereas every Baldwin I've had the chance to try feels consistently good.
