Great jazz tonight with tenor saxophonist Eddie "Lockjaw" Davis. Check out his edgy lines, raucous sound, great ability to catch a "ride" (playing one note repeatedly buy varying the rhythm and fingering) and bebop moves with the Count Basie Orchestra of the 1950's, the Eddie Lockjaw Davis/Johnny Griffin "Toughest Tenors" band of the 1960's, Harry Edison in the 1970's, and organist Shirley Scott on standards and blues. Jazz From Blue Lake, 10 p.m. to midnight eastern from http://www.bluelake.org/radio.html
