Bol Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 I was just listening to Schickele Mix on the local NPR station, and Schickele played this very nice chamber music piece written by Mulligan. Mulligan plays in the first movement jazz style, and then a group of classical wind players play the second movement. It was very very nice. Does anyone know about this piece and in which album it is in? I've just quickly looked through some discography available on the web, but could not locate it. Quote
brownie Posted January 25, 2004 Report Posted January 25, 2004 This sounds like the 'Symphonic Dreams' album that Mulligan recorded with the Houston Symphony under the direction of Erich Kunzel. From 1987. I have it in its original LP incarnation on the PAR label. Have not heard this in a long time. Know this also came out on CD. Quote
