StarThrower Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 (edited) Just got this from Jazz Loft. Disc one contains the 1977 album John Tchicai And Strange Brothers. Disc two contains the 1987 album Put Up The Fight. Strange Brothers was recorded live/studio and sounds fantastic! A two sax quartet. I haven't played disc two yet. A copy of this is in my latest "ImportCDs" order - in transit as we speak looking forward to the sounds of JT & The Strange Bros Quote
StarThrower Posted February 22, 2013 Author Report Posted February 22, 2013 You're gonna love it! I just finished listening to Put Up The Fight. Another great record, but quite different from Strange Brothers. It's more diverse stylistically, and the first tune is a rather jolting contrast to the sound of Strange Brothers. But once you get in the groove, it's a great listen. John Tchicai will be missed. RIP Quote
