Jazz in SF, 20 to 26 July

Hi,

I'm going to be in San Francisco for a week in July, but I was slightlyundewhelmed by the music on offer at Yoshi's and the SF Jazz Center during that week. I have pretty broad tastes, from progressive to mainstream. Does anyone know of any events that week - or venues - that might offer something a little more interesting?

Not jazz, but the Roxie Theater is screening "Big Star: Nothing Can Hurt Me", a doc about the band for that whole week.

Otherwise I don't have anything on my calendar then. Looks like a pretty weak week.

Unfortunately, Yoshi's has scaled it's jazz bookings WAY back over the past couple of years.
