Just heard about this club in Uptown. (Haven't been to Oakland recently, but I've got family there.)

Too late to catch this show. Did anyone make it? Comments?

I wish I'd been there too. The incidental good news for me is that Oakland has a new jazz club.

Yoshi's is fading, though less quickly than SF Yoshi's...but neither was ever strong outside the mainstream)

The food is supposed to be pretty good too (albeit expensive). In fact it looks like the food is really the feature attraction with music not booked every night. Anyone know how this is best handled if you only want to see the music? If the music is in a separate room within the place that seems easy enough, but if not I could easily see the waitstaff getting pissed off if you're taking up a table while not running up a big food/beverage tab.
