GA Russell Posted August 25, 2013 Report Posted August 25, 2013 I've sold the Mosaic Bud Shank box, but as I recall it included the soundtrack to Bruce Brown's surfing movie Barefoot Adventure from 1960. I saw this movie ten or more years ago on TV; as I recall on the Outdoors Channel, which became Versus, which became NBC Sports. It was enjoyable enough if you like to watch surfing. I see that the DVD is now available pretty cheap, so I think I will pick it up, and listen closely to the music this time. By the way, I recall the Mosaic booklet to say that Bud Shank's record of this was the first Pacific Jazz release to earn royalty payments.
