Blue Train Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) Something posted by Mary Halvorson on her tumblr. I have seen this done myself in the past. I never get it....especially when I see some of the beers/drinks they're drinking costing $10+. "I went to see a really amazing concert tonight. A trio of musicians of the highest caliber who played beautifully. It was a “pass the hat” concert with a suggested donation of $10. I watched the tip jar go around (clearly labeled ‘suggested donation $10’). A couple people put in nothing, another put in $2. All these people were drinking beer. Cummon guys!! It’s $10! Support live music! If you can’t afford it that’s one thing, but then, don’t let me catch you drinking that beer! If you have to choose between beer and music, choose music!" http://maryhalvorson.tumblr.com/post/63533015573/pay-for-live-music Edited October 9, 2013 by Blue Train Quote
paul secor Posted October 9, 2013 Report Posted October 9, 2013 Wait a minute, Mary. That's the old scenario. In today's world, music is free for whoever wants it. Beer, on the other hand, is a whole other story. Quote
