GA Russell
Six months ago I rented two programs to keep my computer clean and speedy - RegHunter and SpyHunter. The cost was and is $70 for the two, for six months. I suppose they both worked, but all RegHunter found in my registry to remove were temporary files, and all SpyHunter found to remove was lots of adware. I don't think that that justifies $140 a year, so I didn't renew. Apparently my malwarebytes is doing a good job at keeping viruses out. Can someone recommend a good program or two which will do what these two programs did, for a price much lower than $140 per year? Thanks! Scott Dolan
Why pay anything? When I was using Windoh's I went with a triumverate of Malwarebytes, Adaware, and AVG. All free.
GA Russell
Thanks a lot marcello and Scott! I'll follow up on what you suggest. marcello, do you have personal experience with the shareware you link to?
marcello
GA - I have a Mac ( at home) so there hasn't been much of a need, but I do have ClamXav that I run every once in a while. It always finds nothing. I have a Windows laptop at work ( I hate it, but there are Windows based programs that I have to use.) that I run Malwarebytes on and it always finds something shitty. Sort of like Windows.
