Thought some here would find this interesting from my neck of the woods. Aaron Dworkin, a MacArthur Fellow and founder of the Detroit-based Sphinx Organization that promotes minorities in classical music, has been named dean of the School of Music, Theatre & Dance at the University of Michigan. This is a big story in the arts world, with important implications for the future of arts education at the university level, particularly in music.
