In 2006 John Litweiler observed "Fred Anderson has finally become recognized as a major figure in the free-jazz, free-improvisation world." The tenor saxophonist, talent nurturer was featured in the first part of each hour last night on Jazz From Blue Lake, including performances with Adam Rudolph, Ken Vandermark, Timothy Daisy, Harrison Bankhead and others.
