JohnS Posted April 17, 2016 Report Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) I doubt if many board members will be able to get to this but there may be someone in the south of England who can get along. This month we're delighted to invite you to a free lunchtime concert with a jazz legend! Saxophonist Evan Parker performs at Turner Sims on Tuesday 19 April at 12pm as part of the Europe Jazz Network's Take The Green Train tour. The British jazz saxophone revolutionary transformed the language and techniques of the instrument in the late 1960s and has since become one of the most admired and influential saxophone improvisers on the planet. This one hour solo concert is part of a European tour organised in liaison with the Europe Jazz Network’s Take the Green Train initiative, whereby Evan and tour producer / writer Graham McKenzie are undertaking the whole tour by train. Turner Sims has been a part of the European Jazz Network since 2009. FREE event – no tickets required Edited April 17, 2016 by JohnS Quote
sidewinder Posted April 17, 2016 Report Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) I'd seen the notification on this one John but unfortunately work gets in the way - otherwise I would have been down there for sure ! Give it a few years after I am retired and it will be a different story. Should be great.. Edited April 17, 2016 by sidewinder Quote
