mjzee Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 Can anyone here recommend a program for the Mac that easily stitches together images? Please no Adobe programs. TIA. Quote
Dave Garrett Posted September 11, 2016 Report Posted September 11, 2016 I haven't personally used it, but Hugin seems to have a lot of fans, and it's free. It also compares favorably feature-wise with other stitching software: Comparison of photo stitching software Quote
mjzee Posted December 21, 2016 Author Report Posted December 21, 2016 I've discovered a great solution to my stitching issue. Google has released a free app for iOS (and Android) called PhotoScan. Per WSJ: "couldn’t be any simpler to use. Clear off a well-lit space and lay down the photo. The app prompts you to move the phone over each edge so it can take four separate images. Then it combines them into one shot without glare or bright spots." I've tried it and it works as advertised. This is great for digitizing album covers to insert into iTunes. Quote
Dave Garrett Posted December 23, 2016 Report Posted December 23, 2016 Damn, I downloaded PhotoScan to my phone a couple of weeks ago, intending to check it out after reading some very positive comments about it, but got busy and haven't gotten around to it yet. Noted for future reference the next time I need to combine multiple photos. Quote
