I heard a cut from this which I liked, then went on Amazon where they said "usually ships in 2 or 3 months"!  Anyone know somewhere else to get it in the USA?  The reviews make it sound like something I need.

Try the Amazon third-party resellers, maybe? I've had pretty good luck with Zoverstock (ships from UK, but usually quite quickly) in the past, apart from a cracked jewel case or two (they just use flimsy envelopes for their international shipments).

They quote 2-3 weeks delivery, but that's within Japan.

Thanks for the offer.  I went the Amazon 3rd party route.  Supposed to get it in a couple of weeks.  Here's hoping.
