Do you mean the plain Blue Note? This wasn't released as a Rare Groove. Maybe, you're thinking of "The Right Touch," or "I Don't Care Who Knows It."

sometime in the past i have copy/pasted a list from a post here or in BNBB of the rare grooves list and Sweet Honey Bee was there

Perhaps this has been released twice before, then. My copy is a 1993 version and the phrase "rare groove" is nowhere to be seen. Not that it matters, of course, and I'm glad that the new CD makes it not rare.

i don't claim to be any expert on the rare groove series. i just happened to have picked up a blue note rare groove catalog at some store (tower, i think) years ago(it has a date of 1997 on it). i still have it,and it definitely has sweet honey bee listed in it.

by the way, there is an old thread (i´m too lazy to search for) discussing that some Rare Grooves didn´t showed on the spine the "Rare Groove Series" inscription.
