king ubu Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 (edited) My threads on the Mingus and Coltrane broadcasts did create a little bit of stir, so why not try to do this a little bit better organized. I will not list anything being broadcast on swiss radio, as no one seems to be able to receive it. So I'll limit myself to german stations. Claude Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 Thanks ubu. Deutschlandfunk (DLF) is my favourite station when it comes to jazz broadcasts. They have one every Monday at 21:05-22:00. Usually german concerts that are a few weeks or months old. http://www.dradio.de/dlf/vorschau/ The other weekly jazz program I regularly listen too is "Jazz Club" on France Musiques, every friday evening from 22:45-1:00. These are broadcasts from Paris jazz clubs, usually live. Most of the time concerts by french bands, but often internationally known artists too. http://www.radiofrance.fr/chaines/france-musiques/prgm/ Quote
king ubu Posted March 15, 2004 Author Report Posted March 15, 2004 Claude, I have had an eye on those France Musique broadcasts, but never yet listened to it yet. SWR2 has some pretty good things, too (and usually more than 60 minutes of actual music, while on DLF you can end up with only 40 minutes if they talk too much...). I also regularly check out NOWJazz (on SWR2) if they have live broadcasts, which is mostly friday nights, 23:00-24:00. Missed a Irene Schweizer/Pierre Favre broadcast last friday, shit! Would have loved to hear it! ubu Quote
