Big Al Posted March 17, 2004 Report Posted March 17, 2004 So I'm at the library and looking for a good mystery from my wife when I happened upon the Kinky Friedman collection. Now, I've known about him for years and been tempted to check out his books, but never could bring myself to do it for one reason or another (in the middle of another book, no time, etc). Knowing that a vacation was around the corner, I grabbed the first book I saw, read a few pages, then had to be escorted from the library for laughing so loud. (Well, okay, that didn't REALLY happen; but it could've, and in the minds of some patrons, probably should've!) Anyway, the title in question is Blast from the Past, I'm on page 100-something, have yet to discern a plot, and I couldn't care less because I am laughing my ass off at every other sentence. Since there's no shortage of books by the man, and I'm sure I'm not gonna stop with this one, feel free to pile on with your favorite book of his. (I'm gonig with the assumption that jazzheads are natural Kinky fans). Quote
